Start with the difference.
Identify the zone where an alarm has been activated. Devices are grouped into zones, giving you a general indication of the affected area.

An FDAS uses detection devices, control panels and notification devices to identify signs of a fire and warn building occupants. Components can include smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, alarm bells, sounders and beacons.
A conventional system identifies the zone in which an alarm has been activated. An addressable system gives each device a unique address so the control panel can identify the specific activated device. The appropriate system depends on the building layout and project requirements.
The existing fire safety range includes Apollo Fire UK and Advanced Fire Systems for detection and alarm equipment, SFFECO Global for suppression and firefighting equipment, and Detector Testers for smoke detector testing. Ask about availability and the specifications of individual models.
